the nicer condos...
as compared to the older flats, what a stark difference:/
anne and i attacked the shopping district straight after we washed up and had lunch. mongkok!
new additions to my chanel collection teeheee^^-
DAY 2
ocean park!! followed the tour bus for this one cos its quite far off and taking a cab there will cost a bomb cheee.
anne looks so au naturel here!(:
we need to take this cable car ride to get from the kiddie side to the more fun and exciting side. they are like mountains apart.
bought souveniers for ourselves! anne and her walrusme and my pink fat octopus
they have underwater world too! ocean park was FUN! played raging river and the mine train twice cos they were the most exciting ones hahhha. and the last ride was the rollercoaster. my first ever rollercoaster ride and it suckeddddd. boo:s felt like shit after that, giddy and all urgh. not gg to sit on another one anymore!
-
then at night, we went to the Avenue of Stars, tho planned to go to the peak originally. lost our way there somehow so change of plans ahhaha. still can see hk night view though not from the peak!
this is jackie chan's handprints, where anne exclaimed out loud in the middle of hk, "WHOS JACKIE CHAN". omg died please, ppl were staring at her la! who the hell doesnt know jackie chan!!
-DAY 3anne and her breakfast! milk tea is our must have drink every morning there to start the day(:
queueing for yet another cable car ride to nhongping village to see the buddha statue!
the ride there takes about 20 mins and the view was breath-taking i swear!
we climbed all the way up ok, its like a longer version of gst:/
-
coming back from the village, we continued shopping at causeway bay till legs sore, arms pain, shoulders ache and stomach growls. but the feeling was freaking satisfying!
-
DAY 4
this is our last day so its best that we dont do any last min shopping cos whats gg to happen if luggage cannot take it!? so we went to this place called stanley market, near to repulse bay which is said to be one of the best beaches in hk. nth much to shop there cos they're mostly selling angmoh stuff like antiques. the shawls there are pretty though, nice prints and colour that couldnt be found in mongkok!
and then it was time to fly back home:(
-
ohwell, hk was pretty fun though we had our doubts at first. didnt get to try much local delicacies but ate lots of wantan mee, beef noodles, congee and milk tea! the nicest shopping districts would be mongkok(cheaper stuff and friendlier stallholders), temple street (lots of blings and bohemian accesories though not too cheap) and causeway bay( nicest clothes and shoes though more exp too, like town area this one). if i were to go there again, maybe i'll try disneyland, the peak, their dimsum and more trips to mongkok + causewaybay!
